Joe is the co-founder and artistic director of Paperfinch.
He has written and directed The Snow Queen (Theatr Clwyd 2017), The Nutcracker (Bank Street Arts 2014, NSDF 2015, Theatr Clwyd 2016), Curiouser and Curiouser (Grassington Arts Festival 2015), amongst others.
Maeve Black is a theatre designer based between London and Liverpool. She has designed three projects with Paperfinch, including The Nutcracker and The Snow Queen, both at Theatr Clwyd.
Matilda has worked with Paperfinch on ten productions as both a director and performer, including three iterations of The Nutcracker (Theatr Clwyd, NSDF, Bank Street Arts) The Snow Queen (Theatr Clwyd), Hansel & Gretel (Theatr Clwyd), The Pit Monsters of Pitsmoor (2019), and Around the World in Eighty Days (2021)
James Bailey is a technician and designer based in Oxfordshire, having designed for many shows including The Snow Queen, The Nutcracker, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, and Hansel and Gretel.
He has also set designed for The Iconoclasts for Dear Hunter Theatre and lighting designed The 56 for Lung Theatre.
Hamish is a theatre maker specialising in touring and working in non-theatre spaces. Recently he has worked on Slung Low’s 4-part epic, Flood in Hull and with Paines Plough’s pop up venue Roundabout. He has worked with Paperfinch on 4 productions, including two versions of The Nutcracker as Designer and Stage Manager on The Snow Queen.
